I am using a Audigy SE OEM card with drivers/software from Creative's site and they seem to run fine in terms of quality.
However whenever I run the optical drive (burning, gaming, installing) my sound just cracks up and even hangs the computer. Sometimes it also happens if I am reading heavy files on my computer,
Is this a sound card problem or is the chipset just incapable to buffer information? Using a E4600, 2GB of DDR2 5300 memory on a P5V-VM (VIA P4M890) board, which I think though not cutting edge, is a decent setup.
