DVD Burning/Reading Issues on Vista!!

I'm using Nero 7 Essentials to back up some of my old files, old pictures, word docs, etc. I burned the disk fine and Nero says it finalizes the disk. But, when I place it in the very same drive it was burnt in, Vista thinks its empty and prompts to label/burn when it is clicked. The disk was burned correctly, it works on numerous XP computers. Heres the funny part, when i right click the drive and click search, and type a file on the drive, it will come up with the data on the disk. I would appreciate any help in this matter, I burn alot and this will be a pain to have to search every time I try to take data off a disk i burnt.
