Ok, since I never owned a Saturn, I want to get one now, and it comes with 2 controllers, and 14 games...
Excellent condition..2 controllers and all cables. Games are Sky Target,Sonic Jam,Jurassic Park, Pro-Pinball,Nights into dreams,2 football games,1 soccer,Andretti Racing,Daytona USA,Dirty Cop and Virtua Fighter. Let me know if interested.
He is selling for $45 locally, good deal, I think I might bite on this one...

I think the only way to get it cheaper would be to scavenge garage sales. Probably worth your time to just get it from this guy.
Then again, I have no idea how much these normally get offloaded for on ebay and whatnot.
Edit:

Looks like you'd be getting a decent deal with all those games thrown in.

Sounds like a good deal.

BUY IT!. I've bought bottles of whiskey more expensive than that and not had half as much fun. I'd pay double if it came only with NiGHTS into Dreams. Best game ever made. I still have my saturn and still play NiGHTS, Christmas NiGHTS, and the Virtua Cop games. Guardian Heroes is quality too

BUY IT! NiGHTs: Into Dreams is worth the 45 alone, in my opinion. Just like Skirrow, I still have my Saturn, and NiGHTs and Christmas NiGHTs are still fun to play. I'd never get rid of my Saturn, and I still keep an eye out for games I never got back then, but still want to get. The last title I got was Shining Force 3 on eBay. A tad expensive, but worth it.

Saturn has so many good games for it, Nights included. Go for it. Got mine for $400 a month after launch back in 1995. I still have it and play it occasionally.
Plus, there are all those old Working Designs classics that were only on Saturn. Those games are awesome.

I've got no games for mine. Just three controllers, the memory card and the console.

Are you kidding? Just buy it already...I would pay more than that for a mint copy of Dragon Force.

I did pay more for a mint copy of Dragon Force. I have also paid more for a bottle of whiskey but it was damn good whiskey, Jack Daniels Single Barrel.
NiGHTS into Dreams is an amazing game. You will want to find a 3D Analog controller if he doesn't have one. Sonic Jam is the other game worth some money in that package.
You will want to replace the system battery first thing. They use CR3032 I believe (uses the same battery as the BIOS on motherboards) and should be available at any local drug store or the likes. You will also want to buy a memory cartridge at some point as the internal storage is really small.

Well, the guy emailed me saying he dropped the price to $45, so I told him I'd take it.
Well, I haven't heard back...wtf

He's not paying you to take it off his hands, so no, not a good deal.

Thats an ok deal but frankly the saturn is only worth getting for its great rare RPG's and unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars I wouldnt bother. Great games are
Panzer Dragoon Saga (200 bucks)
Shining Force 3 (50 bucks)
Dragon Force (50-100 bucks)
Blazing Heroes (50-100 bucks)
thats about that.

meh I used to have a saturn. I found it easier to mod a controller for my pc and use an emu and roms. don't have to ruaround for games.
I fyou can get the deal.. try doing that

There are a lot of import games that are worth while as well if you like 2D fighters and shooters. There are also a couple of ways to play import games on a US Saturn if you look around the internet.

Ah man I used to love my Saturn! Didn't Resident Evil actually come out first on Saturn? sure it did....anyways....lol
Burning Rangers is also a pretty cool game to get, Panzer Dragoon series rocked and I used to love Daytona.....still do actually....always have to have a go if I pass it in an arcade. Best.Arcade.Racer.Ever. Even if the original Saturn version had very bad clipping problems it still replicated the arcade very well in my eyes, far better than the later effort, that game just didn't feel right to me.
It's the one game I wish Sega would make on the next gen consoles, online battle on 777 speedway would rock on a 55" 1080p tv :D Come on Sega! Make it happen!! *rumages for DC version now*

The Sega Saturn was part of my child hood growing up. I bought a 2nd Sega Saturn to mod and just in case my first one craps out.
I had a ton of games and some of the experiences on the Sega Saturn were unique.

Just got done playing a quick lap of Andretti's Racing.
Man, controls sucked for that game, LOL
Anywho, $45 for something I wanted years ago. I can't complain.
I also have a Sega+Sega CD side by side coming in the mail as well. =)
Ahh, childhood again. Graphics aren't the greatest compared to todays, but hey, that's not what I'm after!

Pretty good deal on the Saturn. Still have mine bought in 95 or 96. Play Sonic Jam (Sonic 1,2,3 and sonic + knuckles on one cd) as much or more so than any other console or pc game. Love those old Sonic games.

The Saturn is worth buying for "Saturn Bomberman". alone :)

If you are into 2D shooters then a Saturn capable of playing Japanese region games is a MUST. There are many great ones on that platform.

The best thing about the Saturn was how easy it was to play imports. You just toss a pro-action replay (or one of the millions of other devices) in the cartridge slot and BAM! - you have a region free system.
I had all of the various Capcom 2D fighting games on mine...although honestly you can probably play most of those games on your PC these days. Sega even had a way to legally emulate the Saturn on your PC for a while, too.

Bomberman is hours and hours of fun multiplayer. you can play 8 or 10 people if you have the controllers for it.
I have
nights into dreams - great game fun as hell
Shining force 3 disk 1,2, and 3 - Best SRPG of all time.....yes of all time.
Shining of the holy ark - Good game but must be a classic rpg fan to enjoy.
Dragon force - Great game and very ebayable.
Albert Odyssey - another classic RPG.
Shining wisdom - great rpg fun as hell.
Panzer dragookn saga - 4 disk of rpg heaven also very ebayable.
blazing hero's - VERY OUTDATED almost unplayable.....but if you can handle bad graphics its fun.
