I'm having trouble getting a Maxtor Mini III security software to work behind a GP. The user wants to use their USB hard drive with password protection. It works fine w/o the protection but he transports it between his laptop and could leave it in the classroom some times, so he wants it protected. The user is on a limited account but has been given 100% folder access to his account through GP and also added the software to the bypass on the GP but when you try to run the software on his limited account (with these options) you get an illegal windows error. I switch back to admin account and it works. The software was installed on his account with temporary admin rights.
Is there anything that I missed?
The one thing I might try is to temp set his account to admin, run software, have him set up password, then switch back to limited and see if that works.
