Ive been told Server 2K8 and Vista are the same core. So what the hell is going on here. I may try Server 2K3 later this weekend if I have time.

Check the benches as they speak for themselves.

Specs:
AMD X2 4200
2GB DDR
630a Chipset Biostar Mobo
Areca 1280
Samsung F1 750GB X 8 RAID 6

Vista does have a larger footprint than 2K8. Both are default installs. No roles selected for 2K8.

For clarification

Vista 64 Business w/ SP1

Windows Server 2008 latest RC

Storport drivers was used in both cases (Beta Storport for 2K8)

I didnt get a chance to install 2003 or XP this weekend for further testing. I have a new intel based board and CPU out for delivery today so I will get the hardware swapped out and try to rerun some more tests before popping on another OS.
