So Imma need some help here please.
I recently expanded my 1.5TB raid5 array to a 3.5TB array but found out the hard way that I needed to back up and reformat with GPT partitions. So I did. I packed up 1.5TB of data, erased the array re formatted and converted to GPT in windows Disk Management. When that was done I transfered everything back to the array.
So every things good for about 24 hours. I get home from work tonight, I restart the server through remote desktop, when it boots back up I try to access the array and it says "the disk in drive B: is not formatted would you like to format it now"..... and so it seems my data is gone. I have no idea what to do I just about want to cry. Over 200 DVDs and ALL my music.
And to make matters worse I had just deleted the files off the backup this morning.
What the hell happened???
