vf700 vs. stock evga 8800gt superclocked hsf?

The stock cooler would probably be better. The vf700 is a last-gen cooler, and probably isn't capable of handling that kind of heat.

i would think the VF700 would be better then stock.

i think gigabyte sold a 8800gt with a vf700 as the cooler. it was the non reference model

it would be ok, but for the same price you could get an accelero s1 r2, which is possibly one of the best air coolers for the 8800gt, and the price is amazing (its like $20-25)
