Hi so I decided to reinstall my windows, and I decided to partition my harddrive. So I made a 10 gig partition for windows, the G drive. And I am currently reinstalling vista onto it. So what do I need to do to wipe all the information from the C drive, and would it boot from the G drive by itself or do I need to set something to make this work?
lol
First thing you need to do is start again, make at least a 30GB partition for Vista, it likes to grow!
Wherever you install to, the Active partition will be used to boot and it will automatically load windows from the correct drive.
So if you normally boot from c:, the boot menu sytem will run from there which tells it where your windows is located.
You shouldnt need to do anything special to get it working.
To wipe a drive you can either format it or manually delete the data.
Dont format drive c: after you have installed windows otherwise you likely wont be able to boot !

Ok so I guess the question would be how do I uninstall vista from my C drive.
Format the drive while installing Vista.
Using custom install, you will have the option to delete, create and format partitions.
