OK, I had XP SP2 installed. I then created a new partition on my boot drive, and installed vista bus on that new partition. When I booted up my PC it had the vista boot loader. It shows 2 vista's and 1 xp option (earlier version of windows). I deleted the partition that vista is on. Only opperating system installed now is XP Sp2. Unfortunately the boot loader of vista still shows up. Whats the easiest way to make this go away, and go back to the XP boot loader, or no boot loader at all?

You could run a quick repair from the XP CD, going into the recovery console (should be installed locally, by the way) and run fixboot along with fixmbr.

Yeah, that's the best option. You won't be able to (easily?) edit the Vista bootloader from XP as far as I know, so getting the XP bootloader back that way is your best bet.

thanks for all the help. Fixed it in 10 seconds. used the program called

VistabootPRO

Its free, and I installed it on XP. Got a few errors, but went to this tab, and hit install boot loader, then rebooted, issue resolved :)
