If you have painted the inside of your case either flat black or gloss back please share some pics. I'm deciding which to do.

I don't have pics but gloss looks better to me. Flat black is just that: flat. It's like someone primed the case and never bother to finish painting it.

aye satin or semi gloss, full gloss (and even the satin or semi gloss to a lesser extent) will show every prep flaw and paint application flaw ruthlessly. Spend 10 times the time prepping as you do painting. Shiney black will also show dirt/dust the most, ask anyone who has had a black car.

I like flat... the whole reason why I paint the inside of my cases is to put the focus on the components, not the structure of the internal part of the case, so flat works well for that.

Personally I like the look of flat or satin. I wouldn't go full gloss since it shows all the flaws in your prep and of the case itself (which there are plenty of inside the case)

Krylon makes a semi-flat. It creates a very nice smooth medium-flat that doesn't have that primer look to it. I'm painting an old case with it before I try it on my 690 thats in the mail. :)

hey thanks for all the responses. I drive a black car myself and it is a pita to keep clean. I decided on a semi gloss black and I'm going to do some good prep work.

I painted mine flat black. Satin would also look nice. As the above posters mentioned, semi-gloss or gloss are a pain to keep clean and they really show fingerprints, which flat does not.

Is the purpose cosmetic or for thermal reasons? If thermal, flat is the way to go because it transfers more heat than gloss/semi-gloss. Granted...the differences are small but...
I like satin the best for general maintenance because it's easier to care for. All of them will look plain grey after the dust invades.

Hmm thats a real good point about the dust. I suspect the satin would be easier for removing dust.

Case is powder coated high gloss black. Ya it shows finger prints and scratches (if you have them) but I think looks the best, always will but needs X2 to maintance and care.

Go with flat black. I will avoid gloss at all times.... mine showed fingerprints and dust no matter how careful you are :)
