Picked up a Hitachi 1TB drive cheap but I'm having a bit of trouble finding an enclosure that supports the size.

Waned to get a Vantec one but alas, no go.

Anyone know of one.

Thanks for your time

I can't imagine why it wouldn't work, if you were using eSATA.

USB, maybe. But even then, their 500gig or 750gig or whatever spec is likely only listed because that's all they could test. I could be wrong though. I'd pick one up at a local store, Fry's or something, and if it doesn't work, return it for ful lrefund the next day or something.

edit: Vantec's website says for the NexStar 3, eSATA/USB2.0 enclosure I have:
"Supports Up to 1TB Hard and SATA II Hard Drive"

So where did you see that Vantec wouldn't work?

Just by looking at the enclosures on Newegg.

Funny because I see what you're saying. On the Vantec site for the 360-SU BK, it says up to 1tb but on Newegg for the same thing, it says up to 750gb.

Pretty confusing.

Newegg data entry people, just do a lot of coping and pasting, Newegg is NOT a source of valid up to date info, the manufactures specs page should be the most up to date.... I would trust the Vantec site.... I have a Cool Gear dual sata2 drive external, and it runs 2 WD Green drives nicely....

My 1TB WD Green hard drive work in my Vantec Nexstar 3's, along with the WD 750.
