Isn't it always the way - you finally get everything onto one drive where you want it and the drive goes and becomes unrecognisable to your computer.... something about the USB device malfunctioning :mad:
The diagnosis says that it requires a driver so somethings gone wrong as it's a plug and play device the driver is held on the ext hard drive which isn't recognized so thats a catch 22 situation. I've looked all over for the driver on the web but the only place that has it is the WD website which will only let you download it if its been bought from a particular store (which it wasn't).
Can anyone help me?
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to technical matters but I would have thought that if someone out there has the same WD harddrive then they could send me the driver?

Any help would be gratefully accepted. All my music is on there in addition to photos and documents from the last couple of years....
