I've got 2 40GB Western Digital drives that came out of a computer my mom got from work.

I had an old Pocket RAID HPT370 card (Abit) in the closet and figured I'd mess with it. Now I have both drives sitting here running in RAID 0 (after I got the drivers figured out).

I've got a new CPU and VGA cooler coming in this week and if I would see and improvement at all if I switched to the RAID as my main I was gonna put the drives in my case when I switch out the other stuff.

For those of you who have played Red Orchestra... its a big game and loads A LOT of stuff once in game (realism game, maps are absolutely HUGE). Would the RAID help?

Or would putting it in just be a ... novelty? (so to say)

those 40gb drive are pretty outdated, even in raid0 they would be outperformed by a single new drive

My 120Gb isn't exactly new either.

Do some tests and see which performs better. Do it!!!
