So I came across a new revision of my favorite 250GB hard drive and I was wondering what people thought about this.
It's the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB Hard Drive, running firmware 3.ADA

As compared to it's predecessor, it's thinner and lighter! I'm not sure what could of changed in design to allow this difference in size. Is it less platters?

I run about 15 of the older ones in my file server so I'd be interested to hear that the newer, thinner drives are a better choice - as it would obviously free up some weight from an already very heavy box! And leave a bit more room between drives for cooling!
