How does Adaptec's warranty works?

I would like to check with you how Adaptec's warranty works?

I know that the warranty goes with the TSID that each component comes with. But when the does warranty starts? From the moment you register it on their website?

Also, is the warranty transferable? ie, if i sell it to another person, he registers it on the Adaptec website, the warranty will start from the day he registered or from the day the card was first registered?
