I have a Toshiba Laptop that originally had xp. I got the free vista upgrade disk and installed it. For some reason I am having slowdowns. I just want to do a clean reinstall of vista. How would I do this. I have heard I will have problems with the serial key because microsoft doesnt allow it to be reinstalled. Also how would I actually go about doing a clean reinstall. I know how to do it on a desktop but never done it on a laptop. Thanks
its the same procedure and it should be able to be reinstalled. though if it is an upgrade disc you might need to have xp installed first.

It's no different than installing any other Windows version. back your data up, wipe the drive clean and boot from the disc. If it is an Upgrade disc, you can still do a clean install...just follow the instructions in the sticky.
