External HDD x-ray safe

I'm leaving for a flight tomorrow and I just wanted to double check this. My external HDD is x-ray safe, I mean I put my laptop through the x-ray all the time and have never had a problem. I am now traveling with a 3.5" external HDD and just want to be double check. Could someone just reassure me, I had a little scare attack.
