How to get rid of old start menu search items? (Vista)

I have been searchign around but to no avail on this subject. I cannot seem to find a way to delete old searched items that are non-existant when you start typing stuff into the vista start menu search thing.

I think the index is supposed to be able to deal with that, but if it's got stuck, you could always try to rebuild it, though it might take a while.

Control Panel > Indexing Options > Advanced > Rebuild.
