64 bit cpu with 32 bit Vista?

I have the 32 bit version of Vista and I was looking to upgrade my cpu/mobo, and the cpu I was looking at is 64 bit. Does this matter?

It doesn't matter at all, but you should try out 64 bit nonetheless - It's great :)

Nope, in fact pretty much all the CPUs people have these days are 64bit compatible even though most still run 32bit windows.
