I'm building an HTPC with an OC'd 5000+ BE and an 8800GT (probably going to OC w/ Accelero S1 passively) and 2 GB RAM. Will this PSU be sufficient for such a rig?
Thanks in advance :)

Raidmax is one of the worst PSU brands. If you're on a budget, pick up one of these. (http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=PS-E5150GH)

Do you already have that power supply?

No. I ordered for $59.99 w/ $59.99 rebate. I tried to call Newegg to just cancel it once I read more about it, but it was too late. Now I'm just seeing if it may actually be worth something and just keep or refuse the package upon delivery.
I want the PSU to be modular since it'll most likely be going into a tight mATX case. I really don't mind spending the money but for $Free I figured I'd see if it's even worth that lol.

If you don't mind spending the money then get yourself a Corsair HX520. They can be had for well under $100 and are top-notch PSU's.

My RAIDMAX Hybrid 2 RX-530SS 530W handles my setup just fine. From what I've heard it has the same internals as the Aerocool Zero-DBA 500W which jonnyguru scored a 8/10 in performance.

Pictures? Seems lots of folks are saying lots of different Raidmax's are the same as the Zero-DBA these days.

Seems like a good PSU for the [H] to test, see what the deal is. Could it be that RAIDMAX is now a decent PSU and no longer a firework show?!? ;)

I'm not going to rip apart my system and PSU to take pics, sorry. :D
However, I did shoot an email to JonnyGuru about it and hopefully he will reply back.

From what I can see from the pics of the Aerocool on Jonny's site and the pics of the Raidmax on Newegg:

Raidmax on Newegg

The primaries of the two units are nearly identical, but if you look at the secondaries (especially in the highlighted areas) there seems to be significant differences. Combine that with the weird "modular" interface on the Raidmax and the fact that they have given me no reason to trust them in the past and I can't bring myself to recommend the unit.
I will admit I'm intruiged, though.

I'm still torn if I should keep this PSU or not. I picked up a 600w Silverstone (modular) PSU just in case :D

I've got that one. Stick with it, you won't regret it.

Yeah, go with the Silverstone. I have doubts the Raidmax would work well in an HTPC setup.
