So I have an Harddrive with an XP SP2 Partition and an Vista Ultimate 32bit partition, and I needed some files from the XP SP2 while I was in Vista, so I change the ownership so I could copy contents from the XP partition, however now I cant do anything at all in XP SP2 (run programs, copy stuff etc etc), is there anyway to fix this or am I screwed?
Thanks.
You were screwed from the second you installed Vista on the box, you just didn't know it yet.

Turn off simple file sharing from File Explorer > "tools" > "folder options" > "view", at the bottom
Check that and see if you can't get your way in from there.

I might be missing something here, but why wouldn't you just use the same username and password for both OSes? I used to dual boot, and I was able to access any areas of either drives without issue.
