link works for me...
if you bought a system say from dell, acer etc, they usually package an "anytime" upgrade disc with it. Check your boxes.

The following link will take you to Microsoft's page on upgrading:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyorupgrade/upgradepaths.mspx
If you don't have the "anytime upgrade" disk that comes with new pc's, you will either have to order an upgrade version or you can order the anytime upgrade disk for $7.00 shipping. Or you could borrow a disk from somebody.
gl, hope the link works...

Just received the "Anytime Upgrade" disk....
It took about two weeks to get it. I paid $7.00, thought it would come UPS. It came via US Postal Service.

First, select the edition of Windows Vista™ that you would like to upgrade from.
Windows Vista Home Premium
Next, select the edition of Windows Vista that you want to upgrade to.
Windows Vista Ultimate
USD 159.00
A little steep.
For a comparison, it is $79.00 to go from Home Basic to Home Premium.

I really don't recomend using the anytime upgrade disk unless you really don't want to reload your system. I would pay the extra for a full oem version and do a fresh install.
I had a friend buy an hp notebook and get the anytime upgrade. Since in my case I was reloading the system from scratch to remove all of the hp trial ware and junk I had to reinstall vista home and activate it. Then I had to load the anytime upgrade. I prefer to do a clean install.
