Recently rebuilt my PC with virtually all new components and just upgraded my video card from a 6800GS to an 8800GT. All is fine and good, but I am experiencing intermittent issues with the video card bombing out at random times. Sometimes I will be in game for hours on end playing something intensive like Crysis and the system is performing flawlessly, but then I will switch to a multiplayer online game and my video card crashes and throws artifacts all over the screen. I am beginning to think my aging Antec SP-500 is the culprit as my VGA temps never breach 65 degrees celsius and my CPU is almost always hovering around the mid 30's. So with that being said, I am in the market for a new one and wanted to get opinions on where I should spend my money?

Enermax
Silverstone
OCZ
PC Power & Cooling
Cooler Master
SeaSonic

Seems like these are all slightly upper tier brands so I am just trying to narrow down the field some. From what I've read and from using the power supply calculator, my system shouldn't really need more than 500W (effective) to get the job done. To ensure longevity and future upgrades are considered, I am thinking 550 - 650W just to be safe. Planning to spend $100 - $150.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

Corsair 620HX? $140 (http://clubit.com/product_detail.cfm?itemno=A6200027) @ ClubIT ($111 AR) + $9 shipping (FedEx ground). Probably one of the best all around deals on a PSU right now, esp if you are willing to play the double MIR game (one directly thru ClubIT, other by crappy status-now). Pretty decent price even w/out the MIR included - their out the door price matches Newegg's AR price ($170-$30 MIR) + FREE 3 day ship.

As a matter of fact, I think I am going to have to break out my CC for this one...Been wanting to upgrade my nearly 2 year old (XClio) PSU, and while NOT mandatory, the modular cables are nice, black casing/cables would go well w/ my black TT Armor, and best of all 5 year warranty. Cream on the top - a few Corsair reps post here, so anything happens, it easy as pie getting someone to help, in case you don't like the usual RMA channels.

[edit] ps FYI, if it helps your decision at all, the HX series by Corsair *are* Seasonic OEM units.
