what size partition should i do?

i have a 400gb drive...and will be running vista x64

i want to have 2 partitions but dont know how big i will need/use for windows

will 200gb/200gb range be good reasonable? i will also have a 160gb external. thanks

From what I hear (I haven't used Vista enough to know personally), you should guess around 12GB for the Vista install and updates. Personally, I try to stay as low on the C drive as possible, then give the rest to the other partition. If it were me with that drive, I'd likely go with something like 40/360 or 60/340 That way when I image the system drive, the image stays small and I have more space for programs / data.
