Depends for what. For raw bandwidth, yes- even some single drives can beat the Raptors, or at least come close.
For access times, RAID doesn't help- the slowest drive will still slow down the entire array. So no, a Raptor is still untouchable for access times, short of flash or SSD.

The Raptor totally smoked all the RAID 0 setups in everything important, without the significantly increased chance of massive data loss.
