Any one get Win Easy Transfer to work on an XP machine?

Like many, I was lured into investing time trying to use Easy Transfer for moving my files from my XP machine to my new Vista machine. It looked as though it was a good idea, however the XP machine just sits there. It doesn't freeze per se, because I an get Task Manager to stop the process, just doesn't start.
Any experience in using this?

I tried it a few times way back when XP was coming out, and I never had too much success with it. It's always been easier to just do it manually and be done with it. This way, there's no waiting to find out if it worked. If more people practiced better habits, in terms of organizing their data, this wouldn't ever be an issue. I keep a second physical disk, with all of my user data on it, and then anything stored on C gets backed up to D using Sync Toy. I never have to back up anything off of my C drive in the event I need to re-image it.
