After doing "Safely remove hardware" in Vista: usb key light stays on

I've searched, perhaps with the wrong keywords...

whenever I use the "Safely remove hardware" under Vista prior to removing a usb key, the light on the key still remains on... which doesn't happen under XP.

Has the behaviour changed under Vista and this is now normal, or is it a bug?

This is normal, as far as I can tell in Vista. I use 4 USB keys on 3 different Vista systems, and the same thing happens each time.

Yea, I noticed the same. XP turned the light off completely after disabled. Vista leaves it lit up. Kinda silly but oh well.
