So last night I was futzing around with Knoppix, and I rebooted out of that and back into Windows 2000. After rebooting, my Viewsonic VA2012wb LCD has no signal. It's also not listed anywhere in Windows. So far I've tried the following:

Updated the video card driver
Installed signed monitor driver
Tried another cord
Tried the other DVI port
Tried manually detecting it using "Add/Remove Hardware"
Tried leaving the monitor unplugged and with no cables into it for a few minutes to "reset" it

The odd thing is that my second monitor, an old 19" CRT, works fine in either port. It's just the LCD monitor that's not working. It displays "no video signal" like it should, and then goes into sleep mode.

So what's going on? I have to get this fixed ASAP, because I cannot play Team Fortress 2 on Monday on some lame-ass monitor. :(

When you boot your computer, you should see the POST info scroll by at startup. If you can't see that then there's a hardware problem. Maybe a cable problem?
