I am retiring my Seagate Cheetah 15.3K and the Fujitsu MAP3147 from my desktop and sticking them into the file server. One of the reason is they are all U320 SCSI drives and need a floppy to install the drivers for the SCSI Controller when setting up windows. Their storage capacity is quite small and I run out of space fast.
I am debating if I should get 2 X 300GB 10K RPM Seagate SAS Drive or two seagate 7200.10 drives in RAID 0. Which setup do you guys think will offer the best performance?
