View Full Version : Does ATA6 = IDE

VANTEC NexStar3 NST-260U2-BK 2.5" USB 2.0 External Enclosure - Retail
It has an IDE interface but the HD on Newegg are showing ATA6 or SATA. I want the ATA6 ones, right?

I believe ATA6 = ATA133 which is a PATA (IDE) standard.

Thanks - I may be ordering 3 enclosures and 3 drives - 2 for safe deposit box and rotating one back in for back-up of 'essential' files. I felt dopey asking the question, but I'd have felt more dopey having a mismatch between drives and enclosures.
