I just installed windows 2003 on another drive with windows 2000 being my c: drive. I can boot into windows 2003 but can't boot into windows 2000. I thought of putting NTLR and NTDETECT.com from the windows 2003 cd to the c: drive to overwrite windows 2000 version but that still doesn't work, any solutions?

You put the files their manually? Doesn't 2003 do it for you?

We talking server versions here?

You get errors booting into 2000 or does it just not show up as an option in the boot.ini?

This is windows 2000 professional and windows 2003 Server. I get the system error when choosing windows 2000 professional at the dual boot screen but boot ok in windows 2003 Server(pro is fat32 Server is NTFS)

2nd edit: the windows 2003 ntdetect.com and ntldr were both 2003 versions,I replaced them in case they was corrupt. I've done this before when I've had a failed boot with previous dual boots with other OS. dunno why it's not working this time.

3rd edit: would this being a replacement drive have anything to do with me not being able to have a dual boot? It just occurred to me to mention this. 40gig first drive(Windows 2000 pro) 320 gig second drive(windows 2003 and a fresh install same as old 80 gig drive that died).
