Most of those BB coupons say the markdown is from reg price only (fine print). So if that is correct, you'd get the 10-12% off of the regular price of $279.99.

Last time I got one, I picked up the $190 750GB drive before the 12% off without any problems. YMMV though

They're all the same. The only time you will have trouble is if the item you're buying isn't listed.

I swear the external Seagate 750gb I bought a few months ago was sale priced at $199.99 (don't have receipt anymore)...I was able to use the 10% coupon. But as stated above YMMV. This was in WA state.

Technically, you're not able to use the coupon on sale items. However, Best Buy employees are lazy, underpaid, and not treated all that well, so they will typically let you use the coupon on anything. It's when you get that occasional freak who is actually loyal to the company that you can't use it.
