Through GPO, is there a way I can get a brand new machine, put it on my network.. and when someone goes to sign on, it will pop up a Banner before they enter their credentials?

Or is that something that has to be done to the local machine itself?

Yup, I believe its under, security settings, local policies, security options, then edit the message text for users logging on.

You can do it through GPO.

OR

Do it via the registry and then sysprep an image and you now have all pc's built with that image using the login banner.

We do both so there is at least a boilerplate on everything, even before it is joined to the domain. The GPO lets us keep it up to date for whatever whim the legal department gets when they want us to change it. :rolleyes:
