Here is the fan setup in my system:
3x 120mm fans to cool radiator (Yates loon 120mm SL)
1x 120mm for exhaust (SilenX 120mm Blue LED)
1x 120mm for hard drives (SilenX 120mm Blue LED)
The power supply for everything is a Silverstone ST75F 750w

Here is what I have done to maximize case airflow: (totally hidden behind case mb plate)
2x 120mm fans into a 3 pin y splitter cable
2x 120mm fans into a 3 pin y splitter cable
1x additional y splitter to bring all four fans into one 3 pin connector
1x one last connector to extend the length to reach the motherboard connector

This is what is hidden behind the motherboard plate 4 into 2 into 1 style

Will my 3 fans on my radiator suffer any from using this to hide cables and increase cooling?

If they are all getting juice and spinning, np. Fans draw so little current compared to what the molexes can handle (13 amp) and the power availible on that molex string from your power supply its not a worry at all. You could string out 20 fans with Y's an if the connections were all good and tight it would not even be a concern.

i'd run it to a molex over the board to be safe, i remember reading about not wanting to have too many things connected to a board. but im not sure about that.

Holy Crap I just reread your post, dont run all those fans off of a motherboard 3pin fan connector !

When I saw
The power supply for everything is a Silverstone ST75F 750w
my brain apparently went to sleep.

Run them off of a power supply molex. 2 fans max on a motherboard fan header is a good rule. 1 if its a beast.

Now obvisouly its working but those fan headers typically are rated for about 1amp (swag) you might get away with it but I am concerned and dont recommend so many fans on a header.

I went out and picked up a 4 pin molex that plugs directly into the psu with a single 3 pin fan connector at the other end. I'm hoping this should supply enough for those four fans.

This was all the local best buy had in stock, for fan to psu connections

If I need to get a different connector type please specify, I certainly don't want the cooling on my radiator to suffer.

Oh no you are plenty good now, I am so sorry I screwed up. Couple of fans on mb 3 pin is ok and sometimes more, manuf have beefed them up, several years ago many did get burnt out because of too many fans hooked up to them. You might have been ok but no sense in risking damaging your MB for the price of the adapter.

You are golden now that you are pulling power directly from the power supply all the fans will get full 12V and you can put as many as you want on adapter.

I am so glad you ckecked back.
