Here's the scoop, my computer crashed and instead of fixing it I just bought a laptop. The SATA Hard Drive is still good in the broke machine but I need to get all my stuff off of it, so I was thinking about getting a SATA to USB 2.0 enclosure. The HD is 160GB maxtor and SATA1. I need help in finding exactly what I might need to look for

Can anyone link me one to get from newegg maybe? I didn't even know these things existed until 5mins ago, so i'm not sure how well they work either.

If thats not it search "hard drive adapter." You get over 400 results.

If ya just want to get your files, that adaptor will work just fine. If you want a case, here's a Newegg search (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000090092+1053807123+1054107131&name=SATA) for cases with an internal SATA connection. You can choose between SATA, USB and Firewire, or a combination of external connections.
