I am about to get a new system built for me and was considering getting two hard drives; namely the Western Digital 500GB (product number: WD5000AAKS)

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/124228

and setting them up in RAID 0. I have been reading some of the stuff on this forum and it seems like the risk isn't worth the beneft for me as I'm getting the rig mainly for gaming.
Should I simply get the two drives and not set them up in a RAID configuration? Or get a single bigger drive?
Any suggestion or comments appreciated.

ANy reason why you `need' two drives?

I wouldn't bother with RAID 0. Cool in theory and all, but it's more trouble than it's worth. Either just get a large drive (500 GB or something), two of them in non-RAID, or get a raptor + large drive.

The raptor is nice and all, but I never really noticed THAT much of a difference with mine, I kind of wish I had everything on one larger drive for simplicity's sake.

No reason except it would allow for a high amount of storage and if one drive broke then I wouldn't lose everything? Any reason why I should just stick to one? Like i said, any comments appreciated, cheers.
