When I originally sized my XP Partition I did not have any games or alot of programs so I now I want to make it bigger to fit all of my games and maybe a few down the road. (The drive is only 160 Gigs) I have alot of data of the other partition though. (A brand new 500 GB Hard drive is coming from Clubit today so I can use that to backup on).I will probably put my entire "D" partition on the new drive.

So my plan is to copy my "D" partition over to the new drive
Image my Windows installation with Acronis true image and also copy that to the new drive
I was then going to use Seatools as it's a Seagate drive and repartition the drive to the size I want.
Then Format both partitions
and use acronis true image to restore my windows installation
and then copy back my Stuff to the other partition

partition magic

copy your data to the new drive, load up partition magic. delete the empty partition, expand your boot partition to the full size. doing this will save you a lot of time not reinstalling windows or any of your programs

I believe that TrueImage allows you to resize a partition when restoring.
Also, a current generation 500GB drive is arguable going to be faster than an older generation 160GB drive.

I should have stated that even though I'm getting a 500 GB Drive to use it will be going in my HTPC and the 160 will be staying in my main computer.
