My samsung 500gb makes click noise HELP

Im not sure if this is an issue but I want to be sure. I have the 500gb samsung drive and I'm not sure of its model name, but I'm pretty sure theres only one 500gb samsung. Anyway it makes this sinlge click noise whenever it powers up and I don't any of my others drives have ever made that kind of noise unless its somehow broken. The catch is it only happens when powering up or spinning up from idle, and I have never heard it make this noise any other time, and it seems to be working so I really have no idea if this is an issue. Could someone fill me in on this? Much appreciated.

I am pretty sure that Samsung's diagnostic utility is included on the ultimate boot CD. I would give that a shot and see what it says.

ok thanks, i really want to know though, if it is normal form hdd's to make a click noise on startup

Generally any clicking noise is a sign of a dying hard drive. Run Samsung's hard drive diagnostic program and see what it says.
