alright. so, i have an SATA drive that has windows and all my programs on it, and a maxtor IDE that i use for storage. they've always worked fine together until the past couple of days. i bought a dvd drive and put it in as a slave on the secondary IDE with my cd-rom as the master. i foolishly messed with the setup of my maxtor and now when it's plugged in my computer will not load windows. it goes through BIOS and detects everything correctly, but then goes to a black screen. whenever the maxtor isn't plugged in everything works fine. any suggestions? the maxtor is a master on primary IDE. i have phoenix awardBIOS if that helps.

In one of my systems, my drive is master and my DVD-RW is slave. I only did this because I have one IDE connection on my motherboard.
