Which hard drives produce more heat? SATA or ATA? and What would be a good inexpensive SATA drive for vista and gaming, Kinda running short on money.. Thanks!

They're about the same; the drives themselves are the same but they have different interface chips on them. A Hitachi T7K500 is a good choice, or a WD2500KS if money's a little tighter.

My WD AAKS drives are a few degrees cooler than my WD JB drives.
