I need a stick of about 1G USB drive to back up files and to be used as a boot disk. I need to make the USB stick into a few partitions, where the 1st partition will be used as a boot disk.

Can I just get the cheapest USB stick from ncix, or does the USB stick have to be special in order to make the first partition on the stick a boot disk, and allow the other USB partitions just for data?

I've partioned out a standard USB drive before, just a 512mb - but there was a "boot drive" and a "storage drive" - you don't need to get a special one.

Thanks,

I'll get the Kingston Data Traveler 1GB Drive since it's on sale
