Computer auto restarts to older version

Hi,

I am getting some wierd effects of my computer from Limewire (I think its causing it). Randomly my computer will restart and will load up windows to an image that was weeks or days ago. All of my files and IE history are from back in time, and I have no idea whats going on.

Has anyone else found this? Is it a virus? What did you do to resolve it? I've heard stranger things happening, so I might just need to reformat and remove Limewire.

Deepfreeze?

Check the control panel -> system -> device manager -> show hidden devices -> non plug&play devices and look for anything related to faronics or deepfreeze....

Also, some BIOSes let you 'write protect' the hard drive. Changes would seem to stick in Windows (some changes anyway) since they are being made in memory, but as soon as you reboot, everything rolls back.

Limewire is a nice source of viruses :)
