I apologize if this has already been posted about 12 billion times, but I've driven myself up the damn wall looking for a program that will simply record cpu temperatures to a log file. I've found more than enough programs that are seemingly more willing to graphically display the temperatures as a hobo humping a steak than do this task. Can anyone please suggest a program that WOULD output temperatures to a log file? Thank you for your time.

EDIT: I'm running an AMD X2 4600 S939

i believe coretemp does this, but it only logs when its running.

Thank you both for your responses! However, coretemp is very inaccurate when reading my temps. It is always 15-20C lower than core temp readings from other programs. )=

Dunno if it applies to AMD chips, but there are 2 versions of coretemp, .94 and .95

.95 always reports ~15c higher, due to some technical mumbo jumbo that is Intel's fault...you can search the forums on this topic.

In anycase, try the other version of coretemp, and see if it's right.
