I am wondering if I should get a second 22 inch lcd and get dual display, or ill be happier with a single 24 inch. I wish I could afford a 30 inch lcd. Or 30 inch would be way too big. I love my 22 inch, but sometimes more room would be nice.
Thanks

truthfully, i think the only way you'll be happy is with a 30", that was the question wasn't it

There's nothing like 1920x1200 (on a single display).
It depends. For me I think that a 24" is perfect. dualed with another monitor. I have thought about a 30 but that is just too big for a monitor. But I do plan on owning a 60inch LCD hdtv but that is another thing.

I am quite happy with a 24" 1920x1200 as my main display, and I have a 19" 1440x900 as my secondary display.
Duallies are the way to go if you use lots of shit at the same time, or do any vid or audio editing. Think of the second display as the garage, you toss all the shit in there. :p

Hey do you have any issue playing games at the 24"? with that huge res, I have a similar system but I'm wondering if my PC will be able to play next gen games

With current games, it is pretty good. A GTX in place of my GTS would be faster, but not worth the extra $$$ to me at this point.
I expect that even with Crysis that my rig will still run well, and to be truthful, running the 24" at 1440x900 still looks pretty sharp and boosts the framerate quite a bit in games like Call of Duty 2.
I can also flip which display is "primary" in my control panel and game on the 19 widescreen at native res just as easily, it's quite a flexible rig.

I dont have a 8800, but a 7900GTX is fine I think... plus I dont need AA...
I agree, you will regret it if you go with a dual 22.
I'd get a 24 and then maybe 6 mos later get another 24 when the prices are around $400.
Or get Dual 30s....WHOAA....nice but realistically too big. Good luck spending 8 hours in front of dual 30s.

that's what i think dual 30s, because he said he wants to be "happy." It's kind of funny when you think about a display making someone happy. Nevertheless, I feel that we will never be "happy" until he has the biggest display or the highest resolution available. How else would one know when one's quest is completed if not for dual 30 inchers?

If the choice is between two very nice IPS 20" screens and a single 24" VA screen, then the decision would be more difficult, IMO, because the smaller screens in this scenario would actually be superior in most areas other than resolution.
