thanks for telling us that...i would probably recommend this psu as long as you don't plan on 8800GTX in SLI, or you are gonna need a 1000watt psu

that psu has been shown to handle 8800gtx's in sli..

i second the notion though, i would recommend that corsair psu as well..

it looks good but its quite expensive for a 620w psu. Can't i get any 650w psu?

Bbq

No, it's a quality thing. A shitty $5 650w psu will not do what it says it will. It will have crap voltage regulation, ripple, etc. Don't risk it with a crappy psu. Spend the dough, and you won't regret it.

I really do not think that is possible....

So the 600W CoolerMaster iGreen is out of the question?

This isn't the year 2000, it's harder to get by on junk components.

Although I do miss the days of a $20 PSU pushing a top-end rig.

If you have to, opt for an 8800GTS and get the better power supply.

50% of all electronic problems are related to power......it's your gamble to make.

Silverstone S12 or the Corsair HX series.

I would like to second (third?) the Corsair 620HX PSU, you are spending a small fortune on hardware, don't scimp on the PSU. The Corsair units deliver good stable and efficient power plus it does so while remaining quiet.

If you really must save on the PSU then this one is quite enough and £25 cheaper then the Corsair 620HX: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=446788

Definitely. The Corsair 620HX is good enough for almost anything.

600watt is good enough. Ultra has them for <$120

Ultra PSUs are incredibly difficult to find in the UK, as are those made by PC Power and Cooling.
