Hi everybody!

I was wondering if i can use a SAS (serial atached scsi) drive with an adaptec aic 7899 ultra 160? Is there an adapter wich would work???

No. You'd need to buy a SAS adapter or a SCSI disk; those won't work together. There is this (http://www.webconnexxion.com/raid/product_info.php?cPath=32&products_id=254), but it strikes me as a Bad Idea all around.

nope.. dun think so..

consider buying a SAS controller cos its compatible with SATA drives.

But do note that SATA controller cannot connect to SAS drives
