I recently just got this message during bootup: "IDE channel 3 Master Hard Disk S.M.A.R.T. status bad". However, I have no idea what this means because I have no IDE Hard disks...My First Sata Master is my OS and my Second Sata Master is my other HD. My Secondary IDE Master and Secondary IDE Slave are cd/dvd drives. That's all the drives I have. On top of that, I just replaced my OS HD within the last month... Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I'd check the SMART status on both of your hard drives. SpeedFan (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php) is a pretty good program. You can get an online report of your hard drive status and it will let you know if any values are too low and what they mean.

Some motherboards use IDE channels for SATA drives. Not really usre why (compatability) or how it works, but it may actually be referring to your real HDs. As was said above me, check them manually for any problems

I just used SpeedFan, and it turns out my bigger HD w/o the OS has some problems. It's "fitness" is 0% but performance is 100%...so I guess I'll just replace it. RMA's are such a pain in the butt...Thanks for the help!
