bios at 2.8ghz, orthos running at 3.15ghz?

you dropped multi to 8x, but orthos doesn't realize that, and thinks it's still 9

so you're only 2.8ghz.

if you want 3.2ghz, you'll need 8x400 or 9x356.

it looks like you're running a ds3 or similar board, am i right?

it's possible you'll need to manipulate the bsel pads on your cpu with conductive ink in order to force a strap change, if that's the issue you're facing.

yea im on the ds3 board and every time i change the multi to 8 it gives me different readings. Coretemp shows that im running at a different frequency too.

I just bought some patriot extreme 2gb pc-6400 ram and it wont let me run my fsb past 350. i have now bought 2 pairs of the patriots and none will go past 350. i cant even reach 3.2!!

so i ended up just switching back to 9 multi.orthos would read the correct speed but my patriot extreme will only take me to 3.0ghz 330x9. e4300 at 1.45v, ram at 2.2v 5-5-5-15 stable in orthos but no further. Is my ram holding me back? anyone can give me some help on reaching 3.2? im not even close to running the ram at the rated speed.
