Sorry I'm not gonna search to see if this has been posted before. If it has, sorry.

Anyway I came across this article which steps you through the process of restoring your previous version of windows after installing Vista. Of course this applies if you did the upgrade and did not reformat or partition your drive during the Vista install.

I do not recall seeing this posted here before..but I do remember seeing several threads asking if this is possible, and a bunch of posts saying, no, it's impossible...reformat and reinstall time!

I had to do the restore. It dont think it took more than 5minutes for it to return me back to winxp and I haven't had any kind of problems. Well besides it leaving vista install files in hidden folders which I was able to delete.
