Which do you prefer God of War 1or2 or Gears of War? I know graphicly Gears looks better but as a complete package (gameplay, sound, level design, graphics,story) which would you say was a better overall single player experience? I really liked Gears and I've played God of War 1 and I'm currrently playing God of War 2 and I'm pretty much floored at the moment with God of War 2.
It's like I get more and more amazed with it around every corner of the game and Gears was really impessive but it seemed like the drive I had to finish it was because I wanted to see graphicly what the next level would look like and with God of War 2 I'm actually wanting to see what happen's next with the story and see what kind of crazy new way I can finish someone off like putting Theseus head in that door and pressing the O button to repeatidly slam the door on his head while blood is flying eveywhere and Kratos has the same I don't give a shit look on his face as long as I'm throwing out a ass beating.
Gameplay - God of War 2

Graphics - Gears

I hate GoW becuase it could mean so manythings and every time I see it I think of Garden Of War a Warcraft 2 level I used to play online all the time.
a better question would have been gow1 vs gow 2 or gow vs halo.

I have the same problem with SC.
Its either Starcraft, Soul Calibur, Splinter Cell.
I personally think of Soul Calibur first.

Sorry, it's just hard to read without the punctuation. That and the topic is kind of inane since they're completely different products, and there's not really much else to say on the topic. They're completely different games.

I agree, Garden of War is better than all 3 of those crappy games, and thats only a tiny part of one game made in 1995. You cant get any better than GoW baby.

I prefer apples, because they have greater replay value. I mean with oranges you only get oranges and orange juice. With apples you have apples, apple sauce, apple pie, apple cider, apple juice. It just isn't any contest.

you pretty much hit the nail on the head
you did leave out orange chicken, orange soda and the occasional orange muffin, but these things don't nearly meet the quality of products derived from apples.

Apples are good because its easy to just grab one and head out the door. Its easy and simple to eat. You can't do that with oranges, you have to take some time to peel it. Plus the juice gets everywhere. But its definitely a tasty snack as well. This really a tough one and a close call.

You forgot to say that oranges have better online capability because of the acidity,
and apples have to much lag because of worms ruining the system.

the thing is.. GoW is a good game, and Gow is also a good game.. but i think Gow is alittle bit better than GoW :D :p :p :D :D

You ARE comparing 2 completely different games from 2 different genres. If you didn't know that, you could have just said instead of trying to cover up by saying "why is everyone crabby today?"

Well some would say there both action/adventure just from a different perspectives and the main reason I was using those two as comparison was because when you think Sony vs Microsoft you think of marquee titles like.....God of War 2 and Gears, that both companies have heavily pushed. And instead of looking at it from that perspective allot of you chose to act like kids and take pop shots at the post. I was tired of the debate between which hardware was superior so I thought we should try and compare software.

I am still surprised the PS2 is still alive and kicking. Xbox is dead right now and the PS2 was born 1 year earlier. Then your comparing a next gen game with a last gen game it shows something about the system. My Xbox 360 is getting scared about it's lifespan.
